The Complete List of Banned Chinese Apps in India


As you all know, on Monday, the Indian Government announced a ban on 59 apps with Chinese links. The Ministry of Information Technology has received many complaints from number of sources about misuse of these mobile apps for stealing and transmitting users’ data in an unauthorised manner to servers which have locations outside India.

Update: 

After banning 59 Chinese apps last month the government of India announced the ban of 47 clones of already banned China-owned applications.

These 47 banned app clones include TikTok Lite, Helo Lite, SHAREit Lite, BIGO LIVE Lite, and VFY Lite. The government will continue to ban more such apps as the researcher finds more apps.
